Adult Classes

Halestone Dance Studio is excited to offer the following adult classes! Occasionally our offerings get ahead of updating our website… although we try to be punctual. The best way to know for sure something is happening is to contact Mauri Connors at You can also find us on Facebook and Instagram for the most up to date information.

Halestone Adult Ensemble with Susanna Young and Mauri Connors

Halestone’s Adult Ensemble will explore movement and the creative process through teacher led warm-ups, guided improvisations, some modern dance phrase work, and opportunities to participate in the creation and performance of original choreography. In 2020-2021 Adult Ensemble will be directed by Susanna Young and assisted by Mauri Connors. Participants can expect units on Viewpoints and contact improvisation, as well as performances at community events.

Adult Ensemble is open to all interested dancers 18 years of age and older. No prior dance experience is necessary. Dancers must simply have an interest in exploring the creative process through movement and their bodies and be willing to try new things. While performing is not required, Halestone’s Adult Ensemble will be included in many Halestone and community performances. Members of Adult Ensemble who do not wish to perform can opt out of any performance.

For more information on our Company Programs, visit our Company Page.

Adult Ensemble will meet weekly on Thursday nights from 7:30-9:00 pm. For the fall of 2020 there will be three back-to-back sessions. All three sessions will be the same class and class material will progress throughout the fall, although students can mix and match what sessions they take and join at any time.

Session 1: August 31st-September 27th (4-weeks) Tuition: $60

Session 2: September 28th-November 15th (7-weeks) Tuition: $120

Session 3: November 16th-December 20th (4-weeks) Tuition: $60

Students who register for all three Adult Ensemble sessions by August 15th receive a 5% discount.

Register for this class through our online system, Dance Studio-Pro. Please do enter your correct date of birth into the system. It is difficult to track data on active students if we have students with incomplete information.  Halestone is committed to offering dance education to everyone, regardless of ability to pay. Contact us if you need assistance.

*Halestone’s 1-time yearly registration fee of $25 for first family member and $5 for subsequent family members applies to Adult Ensemble.
