Our spring concert…

…is now happening at the end of summer!

We are planning to have a safely distanced Halestone Recital at Boxerwood Gardens on Friday, August 28th, 6:30 pm (SHOW A) and Saturday, August 29th, 6:30 pm (SHOW B).

The concert is open to the public. Tickets are $15 per car, with $10 of the proceeds going to support Halestone and $5 to support Boxerwood.

We are taking the following safety procedures to stay safe:

  • Everyone (dancers, parents, instructors and volunteers) over the age of 2 will be asked to wear a mask, even when dancing in rehearsals and onstage during the performances.
  • When dancers check-in at each rehearsal and each show a volunteer at the check-in desk will take their temperature. Please help us by screening your children at home and keeping them home when they are sick or have any of the following symptoms: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.
  • We will be changing our choreography and the spacing of our dancers. We will have two wooden stages each approximately 12 ft by 16 ft and we will also use the grassy area for large classes.
  • Audience members will be instructed to bring their own chairs and blankets and space themselves 6 feet from other attendees. Dancers will sit with their families when they are not performing and will be able to watch the dances before and after theirs.
  • We will have a clear plan for the flow of dancers from the audience to the stage and back to the audience (detailed below).
  • We will have hand sanitizer stations set up for dancers and audience members to utilize.
