Gabrielle Tull is a current MFA candidate at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Her current aesthetic creates a contemporary jazz fusion that allows the body to release, sense, regenerate, and feel any body of work. Grounded in the practice of Safety Release Technique (SRT) her creative framework uses the floor as an essential partner for play.

Gabrielle began her professional dance career in Columbia, SC. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education with a minor in Spanish at Columbia College on both dance scholarship and the SC Teaching Fellowship. She has also received a Masters in Education in Divergent Learning at Columbia College. She has performed with professional companies including The Power Company, Argentine Tango Troupe, Terrance Henderson Inc., and BJ Sullivan. As a former 9-12 grade dance instructor and company director from 2012-2017, she curated the original dance curriculum for Irmo Performing Arts High School and International Baccalaureate Magnet.

Her recent scholarship in the field has led to being the recipient of the 2018 Sue Stinson Award, 2018-2019 Christina Larson and Melanie Feinstein Scholarships, and 2019-2020 Melanie Feinstein, and the UNCG College of Visual and Performing Arts Diversity and Equity Grant. Her current academic research entitled Black Female Bodies: Studying Modern Representation in Contemporary Dance was selected as a lead presentation for the NDEO national conference in Miami.
