Summer Dance Intensive 2020: Contemporary & Jazz Choreography with Gabrielle Tull

Dates: July 20th – 24th from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Gabrielle Tull is a current MFA candidate at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Her current aesthetic creates a contemporary jazz fusion that allows the body to release, sense, regenerate, and feel any body of work. Grounded in the practice of Safety Release Technique (SRT) her creative framework uses the floor as an essential partner for play. As an Afro Latina woman her work additionally layers elements of cha cha, rumba, and salsa frameworks.

Gabby led a Jazz Funk masterclass at Halestone last fall that was attended by Halestone high school students, W&L undergraduate students, and Halestone instructors. It was so much fun, and super challenging! Come join us this summer for a wonderful experience.
